- Explore the ship's two major galleries, where a number of exhibitions are on display, including those from the Sickbay to the Boiler Room, and the Brig to the Combat Information Center.
- Visit the flight decks and the hangar to see the remarkable 15 historic aircraft that the USS Hornet once launched during its service.
- View the continuing exhibits while hearing some inspiring tales of daring and valour, and learning about the history of the US Navy, Air Force, and Army.Admire the numerous letters and pictures from the R.E. Richey's Collection and many other artefacts at the "Diz" Liard Collection.
- You may also enrol in an exciting distance learning programme in the Ready Room Time, where a live hornet veteran naval aviator will train you for a variety of missions.

- By Car: Hire a cab and come via I-80 E route to reach your destination within 24 minutes.
- By Train: From Montgomery St. take a Blue-N train to reach at Fruitvale within 18 minutes. Then from there take a 78 no. bus to reach at W Hornet Av & Ferry Point within 28 minutes. Then walk for few minutes to reach your destination.
